After 2012 she had been performing in sketch comedy shows or sitcoms as well as other similar programs. The father of her Brian was an equine veterinarian who committed suicide at the age of three. Bea was just three years old, though she was not told the cause of his death until she was 13 years old. Bea was her stage name. Bea was in tribute to her father. Bea published an opinion piece in The Guardian, published in 2017, about her experience of suicide. Bea's mom Helen, who is also an instructor for jockeys and a former professional jockey, was the one responsible for the care of her daughter and Sinead. Her family were horse and race meeting obsessed. Bea was initially a tourist guide at the Irish National Stud. But she quickly realized that her true passion was doing and not racing.
