Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian German film and TV actress famous for her performance in films like Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. As the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra began her career in showbiz at a young age. She played lead roles in dramas on television as young as the age of 16. Following her critically-acclaimed character in the TV movie Der Tunnel, Alexandra went onto play more notable parts, including Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, as well as the secretary of Adolf Hitler in Downfall. The film received nominations for an Oscar and won critical and commercial popularity. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film featuring this divas. Alexandra is well-known for her participation in a variety of notable projects, both in the United States as well as internationally. This includes the British biographical film Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time as well as the French historical miniseries Napoleon among others. She was also in the jury panel of the Transylvania International Film Festival, as well as at the Cannes Film Festival.
